Arg-e Bam

I never thought that I am taking pictures of a grand citadel which is going to be ruined some years later by some natural catastrophe.

The earthquake in few seconds destroyed everything children, women, and even bam citadel which stood firmly over centuries. The Bam citadel was the largest building made of clay brick. The orange hue of the sunset would cast a pleasant looking color on the brown and creamy thatch of walls. It was a symbol of Persian grandeur and magnificence.

It was located at Kerman Province in central Iran, next to Bam city, where it was famous for its palm trees. The citadel was registered by UNESCO as a global heritage.

I Love Bam citadel photos too much.
